Thank You for Giving Me the Knowledge for My Future

Sunny day

Completing this course has helped me understand why I use drugs and the effects that drugs have on myself, my family, and my friends, and this course has given me the knowledge to help not only myself but other people with addiction problems. I feel more aware of the impacts that drugs have on people.

This course made me aware that my brain is different from my memory and how they both function together. Also, I’ve learnt different tools and techniques I can use to help myself or other people overcome addiction. I also now know what vitamins to use to fight withdrawal, alongside gradual exercises and sauna sweat-out to clean and purify a person’s system of all the build-up of impurities that can be deep in the fatty tissue. I had no idea of this until I had done the course.

“I only wish that this course was available 30 years ago—at least I know now. So thank you for giving me the knowledge for my future with my daughters and grandchildren.”

The course has helped me to have a greater understanding of addiction. I myself was a big drinker, and it’s made me realise some of the reasons why I was doing it. Not because I always wanted to, but because I thought it made me feel happy. Gave me a reason to go out. But since being in prison, I have found that that I now enjoy the gym; this is my new drug—one that’s safe—and I will continue once released. I’ve also had a better understanding of the outcome in which people on drugs feel and how they struggle with money problems when trying to feed a habit. Also, I now realise that illegal drugs—paracetamol, ibuprofen, and similar painkillers—can become an addiction.

I’m really glad I got the opportunity to do this course. I’ve never done a course on addiction and drug use before, and I’ve used drugs for the best part of my life! By doing this course, it’s really made me think of the bad effects that drugs have on my body and mind and also in the society that I live in, it was the kickstart for me to think about changing and being kind to myself instead of poisoning myself with drugs.

I have learnt how drugs affect many different aspects of my life. For example, drugs can restimulate in the body years later and create a physiological effect on the body and mind, and when this happens, it can take one back from the present time to past tense.

I now realise it is very important to live my life in the present time (the time is now) so I am not thinking or stuck in the past. I have enjoyed the course and have recommended it to others.

Many thanks.

This course has made me look at my addiction in a different light, and I feel I have more understanding of certain things. I’m happy I did the course.

By completing this course, I have learnt different things about drugs and alcohol effects. I now have an understanding on all aspects from health issues to physical issues and the negative effect this will have on me and my family, and I have learnt how to deal with it in better ways now to live a positive drug and alcohol-free lifestyle.

Many thanks.

Once I have got going through this course, I was surprised as to how many topics are covered in this course and area. The information and data about the mind was the most interesting part of this course. Things like taking general care of people who are involved with drugs, which I have never really thought of, is a really important aspect to our general well-being. I have very much enjoyed this course and am glad that I have completed it.

I am very impressed and grateful to Criminon and the people who are helping prisoners to understand the danger of drugs and to live freely. I have established a great knowledge and awareness in a particular way of understanding and overcoming addiction.
